Summer Reading Sign-up Party

9:30 AM - 4:00 PM

 

Special surprise party for kids when they sign-up for Summer Reading 2024 and get a reading bag with a reading log and begin reading for prizes.  This program is for children up through 5th grade. Don't worry, if you miss the party you can still sign-up at the library during prize desk hours.

Weekly Prizes for Reading

​

Every week for 8 weeks.  Read for at least 20 minutes every day. Track your progress on your reading log.  Once a week show your log at the prize desk and win a prize for having read. Come and get your prize even if you only read one day that week.  Kids and Teens have different reading prizes.  Must be registered to play. 

​

Golden Ticket Drawings

June 3-July 12

Every week for 6 weeks we will hold a drawing and 1 lucky kid will win a tote bag filled with books and
another filled with prizes. 

​

Get tickets by signing-up for the kids’ reading program, at the Golden Ticket booth, by completing the
challenges in the kids reading log, and with other fun surprises all summer.

Teen Reading Challenge

​

Join us this summer for our teen reading challenge and get a chance to spin the prize wheel. Read each week for as long as you’d like and bring in your reading log punch card during that week and have it punched. You will automatically get a Golden Ticket, as well as a chance to spin the prize wheel. If you miss reading for a week, then you miss your chance to spin the wheel!

Adults - Read for Prizes this Summer.

* Scratch-Off Tickets - Your first one is on the back panel of this brochure. Are you an instant winner?

* Monthly Drawings. There will be one drawing in June and one in July. The prize is a $50 gift card to a local area restaurant.

​

* Weekly surprises. If you are entered in our game you might win a silly or sweet surprise when you visit the library.

 

Potential prizes include free items from the Friends Used Book Sale, scratch-off tickets (another chance to win), silly things, or candy.  There will also be two drawings, one in June and one in July. The winner of each drawing will receive a $50 gift card to a local area restaurant or business.

1) Register and get your first scratch-off ticket.  You might be an instant winner!

2) Read anything. Fill out the entry for the June drawing and return it.

3) Attend adult activities for more chances to win, including drawing entries.
